Other Collaborations

Eurac Research
Laura Stendardi, a PhD student from the University of Bolzano (Italy) has enjoyed a 3-mointh stage (April-June 2018) at the University of Alicante. Her research is supervised by Claudia Notarnicola, from EURAC Research, and deals with natural grassland monitoring in high altitude areas (Alps at Southtyrol) and polar regions (Svalbard Islands, Norway). Monitoring is based on the exploitation of time series of images from Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 satellites.

Cristian Silva a predoctoral researcher from the University of Stirling (UK) under the supervision of Armando Marino has visited the SST group at the University of Alicante for 3 weeks (June 2018). During his visit we have collaborated in the interpretation of the results obtained using polarimetric change matrices applied to crop monitoring.

Roberto Tomás has spent 3 months in the University of Florence (Italy) for a research stay focused on the topic "Advances in the analysis of geo-hydrological risks from Differential SAR Interferometry data for the evaluation of damages in infraestructures".

The master student Luca Lettieri, from the University Federico II of Naples, has developed a research stay from 05/04/2018 to 26/06/2018 in the UA under the supervision of Roberto Tomás. During the stay he has developed a number of tasks: digitizing of landslide inventory maps, spatial analysis with GIS using InSAR data, integration of different techniques for the study of a bridge affected by a landslide in Alcoy, etc. He also has worked in the preparation of a paper for a journal and a contribution for an international conference.
